Some History About Me
As far back as I remember as a child, I was making art. I remember as a child closing my eyes and rubbing them, and then watching the shapes and colors that would develop dance and transform. This is something I had forgotten about until just recently. Perhaps I had always remembered it unconsciously in my mind and had been playing along the lines of it all these years. It's always nice when you find some old drawing you did when young that show no use of logic or rational thoughts when making people, creatures, colors, shapes, proportions etc. It's a shame when this is lost; it seems that creativity and pure unconscious expression is lost as well. During my experimentation with video/film and photography, this is something I have gained back, or have never seemed to have lost. I have not figured out why, but when using a camera as a direct connection as a medium, I have been able to transform my visions into my only way of sharing what can not be explained or translated into words. I will discuss this later on in this blog under an entry titled experimental film. I will leave you with one of two or three very similar painting by Picasso which has always stuck with me because of the lack of rational and logical representations of three musicians.
